Happy New Year! And a big welcome back to Monday Escapes – our first of 2019.
It feels like a lifetime since our last Monday Escapes of 2018, with the festive season a distant, but wonderful memory. We had a fantastic Christmas filled with happy children, family, food and fun.
What have I been up to?
After spending some time reminiscing about our year of travel in 2018, I’ve managed to avoid the January blues by squeezing in two rare child-free breaks; a night away to Brighton and a mini city break to Paris.
I love Brighton, and relished having the time to grab a few pictures during our quick break there.
A trip to Paris was my gift to my mum for a big birthday (the gift of travel is just the best!) and it was lovely to spend some time just the two of us, something we haven’t done for a long time. We only had around 30hrs in the city all together but we managed to fit so much in. A blog post will follow!
Our favourite posts from last time and our Lonely Planet winner
I am always so pleased to read and share your posts, there is always such a great selection! There were some lovely festive posts, especially family-friendly festive activities which I always love to read about for future inspiration.
Katy absolutely loved Nicky at Go Live Young and her perfect 10 day Cambodia itinerary and says “How amazing to have such a wonderful adventure with your family, oh and that sunset capture is absolutely beautiful.”
But for me, after spending our Summer holiday visiting some beautiful Spanish towns, and with another trip booked this year too, I was really interested to see The Complete Guide to Visiting Leon from Memories of the Pacific. I have to admit that I had never heard of this town in Spain, but I really should have, because it looks just beautiful, with so much to see and do, and many amazing places to eat and drink.
As with many other posts from Memories of the Pacific, the pictures are stunning, and the outfits are always so glam and on point!
