As much as I love summer, and feel so sad when it draws to a close, I have to admit that I almost equally love Autumn. You really can’t beat a crisp autumnal day, the yellows and reds of the trees popping against pretty blue skies.
But the colder weather definitely brings with it the need to make some wardrobe changes. I have friends who rejoice when thick tights and boots make their way back out of the wardrobe for Autumn and I have to say I am starting to agree!
So when I was given the chance to refresh my autumn wardrobe by picking out a few key pieces from JD Williams online, I was a tad excited. As a family we have ordered from them quite a few times before so I knew what to expect. Not only do they cover kids and adult clothes but they have so many different brands, from Monsoon to Superdry, it’s definitely a one stop shop.
Now fashion isn’t my strong point normally, I like to look good but I also have three kids and a dog to walk, sooooo, it doesn’t always work out! I knew that I needed something practical but wanted to keep it stylish too.
I opted for a pair of leather ankle boots and paired them with some black skinny jeans (I live in skinny jeans!) and an oversized jumper, so that I could add a layer underneath if it gets super cold. I topped the outfit off with some cashmere socks and a knitted bobble hat – both perfect for when the temeratures drop.
So this weekend, we headed out on a family dog walk along the River Wey, the boys happily on their bikes, and it was one of those perfect autumnal days I was talking about above – blue skies and all the gorgeous colours, and a perfect day for this new autumn friendly outfit of mine!
The weather was crisp but not too cold, and although I started out with my faithful Hobbs jacket (which I recently realised is actually 16 years old now!!), it did get ditched by the end of the walk.
I have to say that I was super happy with this outfit. I knew to expect good service from JD Williams, as we have ordered from them before, so it was great to see that continue. I was once again impressed with the range of clothes on offer too. And even better – they currently have an awesome Black Friday sale on – perfect timing!
