Remembering a Special Trip With Molly Brown Personalised Jewellery

How do you remember a special trip? I love to buy something to remember each place that we visit, be it a postcard, a snow globe, or something a bit more meaningful like a piece of artwork. But not long before my recent trip to New York City with Miss T, I was given the opportunity to review a personalised piece of children’s jewellery from Molly Brown, and I quickly realised that it could be the ideal gift and keepsake for her to remember our trip together.

Molly Brown specialise in classic keepsake girls jewellery, with simple but sophisticated designs, and although perfect for christening or bridesmaid gifts, they are versatile enough to be gifted for other occasions too.

I decided to order the Her Love Bangle which arrived in good time ahead of our trip and, after a sneaky peek, I quickly packed it away in the suitcase ready to give to her while we were there. I had read some great reviews about the amazing Molly Brown packaging, and I have to admit that I was super impressed!

Before we delve into this pretty little bag; here’s a round up of just a few of the things we got up to on our amazing trip:

We spent 5 days in the Big Apple, and for the most part it was just me and her. Mr Dais Like These was there for work so we hit the big city just the two of us during the day. We packed so much into our few days there, and made memories that will last a lifetime for me, and perhaps for her too!

We had a brilliant morning at the Central Park Zoo, which is the perfect way to entertain a toddler in NYC. The zoo is small, so no lengthy amounts of walking, but there are some fab ‘big ticket’ animals like the beautiful snow leopard, and the brown bears. We had so much fun watching the sea lions playing and jumping in their pool, and walking amongst the birds in the tropical house, before heading over to see the farm animals in the Children’s Zoo.

We laughed and had so much fun during our lunch at Ellen’s Stardust Diner, where aspiring Broadway actors and actresses sing and perform for the diners. It was a pleasure to watch Miss T enthralled by the performers, and enthusiastically clapping after each song.

We used jet lag in our favour to have the top observation deck of Top of the Rock completely to ourselves early one morning. We have visited before, but I never ever tire of that view! The morning haze in the sky was just magical, and I managed to get this amazing shot which I will treasure forever.

One of my favourite places in New York is the High Line, a park and walk created on a disused railway line, above the busy streets of the city. Miss T absolutely loved the freedom of being able to walk and run along, without the risks of the busy roads.

We jumped on the East River Ferry and sped along, taking in the view of the amazing skyline, heading under the Brooklyn Bridge before getting off at the last stop at Wall Street. This cheap ferry is the perfect way to get an alternative view of the skyline, and kids love it too – Miss T loved how fast it went! She got a bit chilly on the open deck but it just meant that I got lots of cuddles which I never complain about!

And we just generally explored – lots! I literally walked for miles. It was such a special time together.

A personalised gift to remember our trip

It’s safe to say that we packed SO much into our trip, I had the best time. But I am quite aware the Miss T is very young and some of these memories may not last for her. So when I was deciding on the personalisation of her pretty little Molly Brown London bracelet, I decided to go with the letters NYC, each letter on a cute little heart. I figure that as the years pass, she may ask me what they stand for and I will have so much fun reminding her of our adventures in the Big Apple!

Inside the striking pink bag is a pretty little box, tied with a ribbon, and inside this is a small pink mesh drawstring bag holding the sterling silver bracelet.

It is a solid cuff bracelet, meaning that it will not expand to a larger size, but it easily slips over the wrist and can then be secured with an adjustable chain.

It looks super cute, and Miss T was absolutely delighted to put it on! She certainly feels that it is very special, and loves showing it off.

I hope that she treasures it for years to come and that she will look at the NYC engravings and ask me to show her pictures and reminisce about our wonderful trip together!

I was sent a Molly Brown Her Love Bangle for the purpose of this review. As always, all views are my own.
