Hello and welcome back to Monday Escapes! And for me, my last time hosting this lovely linky. It has been an absolute pleasure to host with Katy over at Otis and Us for the past year, I’ve loved reading and discovering the world through your amazing travel inspired posts.
As it is now July (hasn’t this year flown by already?!), it means we are coming up to the annual Monday Escapes break for the summer holidays. So along with this week, the 15th July will be the last link up before the break, so make sure you join us with all your fab posts!
What have we been up to since last time?
It’s been a while since I hosted, and in that time we’ve had amazing adventures in France. As well as popping back to Ile de Porquerolles, where our boys spent a month in the village school last year, we also explored the calanques on the Provence coast, and headed inland to the Ardeche region for a family get together,
I honestly can never get enough of the diversity of holiday options that France offers, and I love that is is so close to home too.

It was lovely to see so many wonderful link ups over on Katy’s blog last time, thank you to everyone who linked up.
My personal favourite was this post from Catherine at Cultural Wednesdays which really bought back memories of my A Level Geography course where we did a coursework case study on Dungeness and Romney Marshes!
All of our work was done from a dated textbook though, so it is lovely to see some recent, colour photos of the super interesting landscape.
Katy really loved this post from Chloe over at Picture Taker, Memory Maker, which she says is beautifully captured and feels that Bude looks like a gorgeous place to make family memories.

Our joint favourite post each fortnight will win either a Lonely Planet destination guide, or a title from the Lonely Planet Kids range (See T&C’s below). Each week Lonely Planet are kind enough to offer either a destination guide, or a title from the Lonely Planet Kids range to the writer of our favourite post each fortnight. (See T&C’s below).
How does Monday Escapes work?
• Link up to one post/photo – old or new.

Monday Escapes will go live every two weeks, alternating between both Katy and I, and will be open Monday to Wednesday.
